OUR MISSION

VOWS Foundation is dedicated to inspiring the youth of black and brown communities to live a life of power through trauma release methods, gain awareness through emotional education exercises and learn empathy through community outreach and volunteerism.

OUR VALUES

Valiant: Showing courage or determination in the face of danger or difficulty. Someone who is valiant is brave, heroic, and steadfast.

 

Optimistic: Having a positive outlook on life or a particular situation. Optimistic individuals believe that things will turn out well and maintain hopefulness even in challenging circumstances.

 

Willing: Being ready, eager, or inclined to do something. A willing person is open and prepared to undertake tasks or fulfill responsibilities without hesitation.

 

Souls: The essence or spirit of a person. People collectively, emphasizing their inner nature or character.

MEET THE TEAM

PRESIDENT

ANYA STEVENSON

Anya Stevenson is the Founder and President of VOWS Foundation. Anya is the owner of Fruit Bowl. She loves to workout and spend time with her family. Anya chose to found and direct VOWS after losing her husband to suicide. With her experience, knowledge and determination, she is learning how to breaking mental chains with her community.

VICE PRESIDENT

JESSICA HEROD

Jessica Herod is the Vice President of VOWS Foundation. She is a full time mom and a Reservist in the Army. She has always had a passion for helping others in any way she can and believes VOWS will be another way to do so. She is excited to use her experience and drive to be apart of the movement.
